Comedy Central has effectively censored any mention of Islam on a cable show (by producers of "South Park") which they are not allowing to be distributed on the web, after receiving threats from Muslims.

But not in the guise that the left depicts (torture, Patriot Act, etc.)

Self censorship and the squashing of individual property rights and civil liberties are the order of the day. While our government and security agencies look for Al Qaeda under every bush and in every bicycle, MUSLIMS are using every tool at their disposal to intimidate and threaten our constitutional right of free expression. Not "radical extremists", not "Islamists". MUSLIMS.

Co-conspirators in this censorship and repression include Yale University, Borders Books, and nearly every newspaper and magazine printed in the US, as well as numerous college administrations and our own president, who has mandated a ban on the use of terms like Islamism, Islamist terrorism, Islamic extremists, etc., and has substituted "violent extremists".

Cheering on the sidelines are radical leftists in academia who countenance sharia law because, they claim, we should respect the customs of other religions. The most recent example was Joan Wallach Scott, of the Institute for Advanced Studies,who appeared alongside Tariq Ramadan at Cooper Union some days ago.

Meanwhile Muslims and their storm troopers like CAIR file frivolous "lawfare" lawsuits over phony claims of discrimination and "Islamophobia", knowing their suit will be dismissed but content to make trouble for anyone who dares to criticize Islam.

AL QAEDA IS NOT THE MAJOR THREAT TO OUR SECURITY. THE RELIGION OF ISLAM IS THE THREAT.

Islam is the problem. Anyone who thinks that Muslim immigrants will become assimilated into our society or peacefully accept our legal system and social practices is uninformed as to the objectives of Islam. While "violent extremists" like the young Muslims being recruited for violent jihad abroad and domestically are a danger, they are outnumbered by the imams, mullahs, phony "charity" groups like CAIR and hundreds of other front groups passing funds along to Hamas to bomb Israel and conspiring to undermine and abolish our entire body of civil law and the legal protections of our Constitution.

STEALTH JIHAD IS EXPANDING EXPONENTIALLY AND THREATENS OUR CIVIL LIBERTIES, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND LEGAL SYSTEM.

Anyone who takes the trouble to open her eyes or read knows that the establishment of a Muslim caliphate worldwide is the sole objective of Islam and of observant Muslims. Contrary to leftist propaganda, religion, not anti-imperialism or Palestine, is the sole motivation for jihad and terrorism. While there are secular and/or non-observant Muslims who have happily integrated themselves into our country and accept our laws and institutions, they will not speak out; to speak out against radical political Islam would endanger their lives, hence the capitulation of Comedy Central to the Muslims who threatened them if they did not remove any mention of Muslims or Islam from the South Park program. The saga of the Danish cartoons continues and expands.

This capitulation of Comedy Central is the same as what happened under Stalinism and Nazism. The media, artists and intellectuals capitulated. Today in Latin America we see similar threats and suppression under Castro and Chavez...and the same radical left that hailed Stalin and Mao now cheer Castro and Chavez on as saviors opposing American "imperialism".

Why the term "treason" is not being applied to fanatic Muslims and the radical American left (groups like Palestine Solidarity Movement, ANSWER, Workers World Party, etc.) is puzzling. All of these call for the overthrow of our government and the imposition of a totalitarian state, one of them secular and the other religious, but otherwise identical in the practices and forms of tyranny, censorship, suppression and punishment.

Like the quiet Germans in the 1930s, and the compliant intellectuals in Stalinist Russia, American leftists and their paleo-liberal friends (the "useful idiots") are aiding and abetting ideologies and movements that are, in their methods and objectives, absolutely identical to the ideology called Fascism. American liberals have refused to be dedicated supporters of our Constitution and of our prized secular democracy, having already forgotten the struggles of important movements of the 20th century for racial and gender equality. Out of political correctness and fear, they refuse to acknowledge, much less confront, the omnipresent and spreading threats to democracy and civil liberties.

The liberal response to Islamism has been strangled by a combination of anti-Americanism and a fear of being called Islamophobic or right wing or racist. Consequently, liberals have retired from the battlefield and allowed the right wing to monopolize the issue, rejecting criticism of Islam as "tainted" by right wing bias. This is the most damning and revelatory evidence of the failure of the American liberals. They have retreated from the most important fight and have vanished from view. The Muslim threats have succeeded in eliminating those in this country who should be in the forefront of defending civil liberties. They must be celebrating their victories daily.

The battle to preserve free speech is ongoing, and its outcome is not certain. What is certain is that Muslims are, through multiple methods, intent on subverting democracy through intimidation of lawmakers and institutions, and the threat of violence against individuals. Liberals are rolling over dead like possums. The media's mouth is shut. Our president and most of our congress are oblivious or fearful. Our security agencies turn over rocks and bicycles looking for bombs, while the real bombs are being placed by Muslims in our schools and courts and in our minds.
